Great place to ride all year round, only an hour and 15 minutes from Seattle. IT is filled with loads of challenging trails that will truly test your capabilities. Not recommended for beginners. There is plenty of elevation change and you get the start of some mountain riding.
Expect Snow and water in winter months, maybe even Ice.

Tahuya state forest
Belfair, WA
Great place for beginner riders. Or year round riding for when you need to get on a bike. Only an hour and 30 minutes from Seattle. There is a mix of quad trails, single track and 4×4 trails. Don’t worry though, you can still find some challenging spots out there. Not a lot of elevation changes here but on clear day you can see mountains all around you.
Expect Snow and water in winter months, maybe even Ice.

Green Mountain (Wildcat Trailhead)
Bremerton, WA
Great place to ride with about 30 miles of trails only an hour and 30 minutes from Seattle. Take a ferry or drive.
These trails are not recommended for beginners as they are fairly technical. Get to the top on a clear day and get an amazing view of Seattle from across the sound.
Open All year. But expect snow and water in the winter.
